The American Association of University Women (AAUW) advances equity for women and girls through philanthropy, advocacy, research and education. Since our founding in 1923 the Oconomowoc Branch of AAUW, has been actively serving our community, by promoting education thru local scholarships for women and girls, sponsoring local events with the emphasis on equal education for all and offering programs highlighting current issues that are forefront in todays society.
Most meetings are held on the last Wednesday in the afternoon at 1:00pm, with a social time and a program at 1:30pm. Changes in date or time will be noted in the newsletter and on the website. Prospective members and guests are welcome to attend.
Membership is open to those who hold a recognized two-year Associate, Bachelor’s, or higher degree from an accredited college or university. Undergraduate students who do not hold a Bachelor’s or Associate degree may join as affiliates.
